Assistant Coach

Richard is in his first year on the men’s basketball coaching staff at Morton College. He cut his teeth in the coaching ranks with current Panther head coach Nick Radenkovich at Benedictine University, working as a student assistant coach while earning a bachelor’s degree in finance.

Krupa hails from Sarasota, Florida, where he was a three-year member of the basketball team at Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School. The Cougars, led by future Louisville player Ryan McMahon, made it to the state’s final four for the first time in school history when Krupa was a sophomore.

Krupa wanted to play at the NCAA Division III level. With no schools in Florida at the D-3 level, Krupa made his way north to Illinois.

“I wanted a career in coaching basketball,” Krupa said. “Coach Nick (Radenkovich) has connections to the Arizona program from his time as a student manager. And head coach Keith Bunkenburg has been in the business for 25 years and he’s highly respected. Benedictine was a great place to start my coaching career.”

Krupa works for the NCSA (Next College Student Athlete), an organization that connects high school student-athletes with college coaches.
