Rob Abraham returns for his second stint as an assistant at Morton College. His longtime ties to the Chicagoland basketball community are a plus for the Panthers’ recruiting efforts and Abraham looks to be a bridge in helping players go from Morton College to four-year schools.
Abraham has coaching experience at the high school and college levels, most recently spending the past two seasons as an assistant at NCAA Division III Concordia University Chicago. Former MC players Kylan Anderson, Tino Vazquez and Kostas Doxakis currently are at Concordia.
Abraham appreciated his time at Concordia under coach Tyler Jones and the opportunity to play exhibition games against big-time NCAA Division I programs St. John’s and Connecticut.
Abraham was a valuable assistant during Morton College’s run of back-to-back undefeated Illinois Skyway championship squads in 2010 and 2011. He also has been on the coaching staffs at Montini and Quigley high schools.
