Jesse Galeana enters his first year as an assistant coach at Morton College and his third year coaching.
Galeana started his wrestling career at Fenton High School. Galeana was a three-time varsity member er and served as his team’s captain his senior year. During his senior year, the Bison pulled off an unblemished 26-0 regular-season record.
After graduating from Fenton, Galeana went to Aurora University where he earned a bachelor’s of science in exercise science. While at Aurora, Galeana joined current Panther coach Chris Butz on his staff at Eisenhower Junior High School in Darien.
Together, Galeana and Butz produced eight Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA) state qualifiers with six being sectional champions. There was no state series due to the COVID pandemic.
Galeana resides in Aurora and is finishing a master’s degree of science in athletic training at Aurora University.
