Casey Taylor joins the program as Men's Basketball Assistant Coach and Offensive Coordinator, bringing seven years of coaching experience and a deep understanding of player development and offensive systems. As the son of IBCA Hall of Famer Mike Taylor, Casey carries on a legacy of basketball excellence and coaching expertise.
Taylor comes to the program from Marian Catholic High School, where he served as Offensive Coordinator, helping shape the team's on-court execution and scoring efficiency.
His coaching philosophy emphasizes skill development and tactical basketball, evidenced by his work with standout players including Tyler Ulis.
Currently pursuing his education at Governors State University, Taylor focuses on international and out-of-state recruiting, with particular emphasis on identifying and developing forward prospects. His dual role as both offensive strategist and recruiter allows him to evaluate talent through the lens of system fit and long-term development.
With roots in Illinois basketball coaching tradition and a commitment to building winning programs, Taylor brings both tactical acumen and a passion for cultivating the next generation of student-athletes.
