A familiar face in Rock Valley awaits Morton College in the opening round of the Region 4 men's soccer playoffs at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 29th. The match will be played on Morton College's home pitch, the Antonio Carbajal Soccer Complex, 32nd Street and Central Avenue, Cicero.

This is the fourth straight year the two teams have met in the Region 4 playoffs. The winner of the past two meetings – Morton College in 2024 and Rock Valley in 2023 – reached the national tournament.

Morton College (12-7-1) enters with a five-game win streak. Like last year's run to the Region 4 crown, the No. 6 seed Panthers are getting hot at the right time with 10 wins in their last 12 matches.

Leading scorer Ricardo Cruz reflects how the Panthers are moving in an upward trend. All 13 goals of Cruz's goals have come since September 23rd.

No. 11 seed Rock Valley is 7-7-4. The Golden Eagles have lost four one-goal matches this season.
