The season for the Morton College men's and women's soccer teams came to an end with losses on the road this weekend in the Region 4 quarterfinals.
On the men's side, Prairie State defeated Morton College 3-1 November 1st in Chicago Heights. The following day, host College of DuPage ended the Panthers' eight-match win streak with a 4-0 triumph.
Men's soccer highlights
Prairie State got on the board early in the 2nd minute by converting a penalty kick. The Panthers fought back to even it at halftime on a 
Pierre Balderas score that was assisted by 
Yousri Italief. The Pioneers scored the game-winner at the 63rd minute and added an insurance goal 12 minutes later.
The Panthers finished 13-8-1, their 17th consecutive season with 10 or more wins and 22nd straight winning campaign.
Morton College coach 
Juan Franco collected his 350th career win October 9th when the Panthers defeated Harper. He is 354-161-42 overall. With his 36 wins in five seasons as the head women's coach, Franco's win total at Morton College stands at 390.
Women's soccer highlights
Morton College's season ended at the hands of the College of DuPage with a shutout loss for the second straight year.
Despite the setback, the Panthers set single-season program records in:

Team shutouts – 10 
Goals scored – 76 
Assists – 63 
Points – 215 
Goals allowed – 19 
They also had their first Skyway Player of the Year in sophomore forward 
Sjenna Van De Weerd, who finished 24 goals, 18 assists and 66 points.
