Three Morton College sophomore student-athletes were recognized at the Morton College Athletic Association's 41^st annual Slivers Open with Henry and Marie Vais Memorial Scholarships.

Will Lewis (baseball – Montreat College), Alexa Navarro (softball – Roosevelt University) and Hector De La Cruz (men's soccer - UIC) each received a $4,000 scholarship, which will be applied to the four-year school of the student's choice.

The Slivers Open is the only event that funds these scholarships for Morton College student-athletes moving on to four-year schools.
