The Morton College women's soccer team was excited for a rematch with South Suburban because the Panthers would have
Ashley Castanon in goal.
Alexis Teran scored in the 72
nd minute and Castanon made several big saves to help No. 4 seed Morton College defeat No. 5 South Suburban 1-0 October 31
st in a Region IV quarterfinal contest at the Carbajal Soccer Complex in Cicero. The win, coming on a cold and rainy afternoon, ended a three-game losing streak for the Panthers.
It was Teran's seventh goal of the season and third against South Suburban, which beat the Panthers 3-2 during the regular campaign.

Morton College (7-6) moves to face top-seeded Moraine Valley at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 3
rd, in the Region IV semifinals in Palos Hills. Moraine defeated the Panthers 5-0.
"It's a tall order for us because Moraine is an excellent team," Franco said. "We're going to work on fixing the things from the last time and see what happens."
