Morton College, the Midwest District champions, pulled a 10^th seed at the first National Junior College Athletic Association Division II national tournament in Wichita, Kansas.

The Panthers (9-2) are making their second appearance at nationals in program history, having appeared in the 2015 NJCAA Division I tournament. Morton College enters the tournament with a nine-game win streak, punching its ticket to nationals with a 3-1 win over Skyway Conference champion Prairie State in the Region IV finals.

The 12-team tournament is divided into four three-team brackets with the top team in each pool headed to the semifinals.

Morton is placed in a pool with No. 3 Heartland (9-0) out of Illinois and No. 6 Phoenix (9-3) from Arizona. The Panthers kick off the tournament with a 10 a.m. match against Heartland on Saturday, June 5^th. Morton College then plays Phoenix at 10 a.m. Sunday, June 6^th.

The seeding committee viewed the Skyway Conference favorably with Prairie State earning one of the four at-large bids. The Pioneers are seeded seventh.
Pima, CCBC Baltimore Essex, Heartland and Louisburg are the top four seeds. Every team in the national tournament was in the final NJCAA regular-season top 20 poll.

Pool play champions from four brackets head to semifinals Wednesday, June 9th, with finals on Thursday, June 10th.

It is much more convenient to purchase tickets through Hometown Ticketing prior to arriving to Stryker. We will still be encouraging this if fans walk up without a ticket. They can do that now on their phones and this will allow them to walk straight up to the gate, swipe their phones and enter without waiting in any lines.
