February 20th was a special day for the Morton College women's basketball program. Not only did the Panthers secure a third consecutive Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference championship by knocking off Oakton 78-51 in Des Plaines, Morton College also ran its Region IV win streak to 60.
The No. 8 Panthers extended their season-best win streak to 15 as Morton College's mark went to 26-3 overall and 13-0 in the Skyway. Morton College will attempt to cap third straight perfect season in the Skyway when the Panthers host McHenry Thursday in the regular-season finale.
It was a balanced attack in every aspect for Morton College, who put 64 shots total and 16 in each quarter.
Brynne Katcher posted a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds, while turning in her third four-block game of the season to bring her total to 50.
Alex Stewart (7 of 11 FG, three assists and three steals) and
Nariah Clay (seven rebounds) also had 15 points apiece.
Shanihya Brown ignited the Panthers, turning in her fourth straight game with four steals to go along with 14 points on 5 of 7 shooting.

Antionique Auston had another stat stuffer night. Marquart had four points, eight rebounds and three assists, while Auston added six points on a pair of three-pointers to go with nine rebounds and an assist.
