As the men's soccer regular season winds down, Morton College secured its second quality win in the last six days by taking down No. 13 Schoolcraft 3-1 Friday (October 17th) at home.
The Ocelots from Livonia, Michigan, came into the match on a 13-game win streak. Morton College (11-7-1) struck in the 7th minute on 
Ricardo Cruz's team-leading 13th goal. 
The match stayed that way until the Panthers added two more goals in a three-minute span with 
Mario Feliu and 
Winner Muya finding the back of the next in the 76th and 79th minute, respectively.
Omar Garcia, Cruz and 
Felipe Almeida added assists. 
Soultani Salmi stopped 8 shots to collect the win in goal.
Six days earlier, Morton College handed Truman (13-1-1) its only loss of the season by a 5-3 count. It ended the Falcons' 12-match unbeaten streak. The Panthers also are 9-2 in their last 11 matches.
Swings MC's way
This was the first time in three meetings that Morton College came out on top vs. Schoolcraft. All three contests have been decided by 3-1 scores with Schoolcraft winning the 2016 and 2023 encounters.
Volleyball's back
Morton College returned to the court after a 12-day hiatus in knocking off a scrappy Triton bunch 3-0 (25-23, 25-22, 25-22) October 16th in River Grove.
Nina Jasiecka and 
Sophia Swiderski led the Panthers with 11 kills apiece. 
Diana Stetsko added five kills, while 
Neda Stojanovic (1 solo block, 2 block assists) had four kills. 
Journee Fulton (4 block assists) and 
Beatriz Coca (5 block assists) each had three kills.
The 300 club
Sophia Swiderski's match-high 14 digs gave her a team-leading 310 digs on the season. 
Nina Jasiecka's next kill will be her 300th on the campaign. Both also are hitting over .300 on the season with Jasiecka at .373 and Swiderski at .305.
The 200 club
A trio of Panthers have 200 digs on the season in 
Valencia Carrera (240), 
Abby Monahan (212) and 
Marija Radovic (209). 
Ryanne Janicek has 216 assists for 2025.
The 500 club
Marija Radovic's at 535 assists on the campaign. She had 21 in the win over Triton.
The 1,000 club
The Panthers are just 10 kills from reaching the 1,000 mark as a team.
20-win club
This is Morton College's third 20-win season in the last four years and sixth since 2014.
Cross country
Morton College heads to the Region 4 meet at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 25th. The Panthers are back at the Northwestern Medicine Cross Country Course in Geneva, the site where 
Morton College kicked off the 2025 season September 13th at Aurora University's Spartan Invitational.
