Here's a look back at Morton College's path to its first Skyway title since 1981 in women's volleyball.
August 27 – Morton College 3, Moraine Valley 1 @ home
At 8:33 p.m.,
Diana Stetsko's kill ended 24 years of Moraine Valley's dominance of Morton College as the Panthers won 3-1 (22-25, 25-6, 25-12, 25-16). It was MC's first win over Moraine Valley since October 20, 2001 and ended a 31-game losing streak.Â
After the game-one loss, the Panthers shifted into another gear by hitting .520 in game two, .542 in game three and .312 overall.
Morton College's one-two punch of
Sophia Swiderski and
Nina Jasiecka had 11 and 10 kills, respectively. But the Panthers demonstrated they weren't a one-trick pony with
Neda Stojanovic adding 8 kills and
Ava Miller, 7. The two-setter attack with
Marija Radovic (20 assists) and
Ryanne Janicek (16 assists) kept opponents guessing.

September 3 – Morton College 3, Elgin 0 @ home
This was the only Skyway match where the Panthers went without an individual in double figures for kills. Jasiecka led the way with 9 in the 25-12, 25-17, 25-12 win. It also was the final home Skyway match of the season as the Panthers would be on the road for their final four matches.
Swiderski added 6 kills, a team-high 11 digs and hit .455. Stetsko also had 6 kills and 6 aces. Radovic (12 assists, 4 aces), Janicek (10 assists, 2 aces),
Valencia Carrera (2 aces) and
Ella Rubino (2 aces) also contributed.
Beatriz Coca and Jasiecka put up 3 blocks apiece, while Stojanovic had 2. The Panthers rang up 19 aces, their most since getting 22 in an October 2024 win over Wright.

September 10 – Morton College 3, Prairie State 0 @ Prairie State
In addition to hitting .409, Swiderski unleashed a double-double with 13 kills and 12 digs as the Panthers rolled to a 25-8, 25-15, 25-21 victory.
The Panthers continued to display plenty of offensive balance with 4 kills apiece from Fulton, Stojanovic and Miller. Stetsko and Janicek added 3 kills each. Janicek uncorked 4 of Morton College's 10 aces, while Rubino had 3.Â
Monahan also had 12 digs. Fulton and Coca led Morton College's block party, contributing 4 blocks apiece of the Panthers' 16.

September 17 – Morton College 3, McHenry 0 @ McHenry
This could have been a trap game for the Panthers, scheduled to face the nation's two teams in No. 1 Cowley and No. 2 Kansas City Kansas over the weekend.
But the Panthers kept the eye on the Skyway prize with a 25-20, 25-13, 25-19 win, allowing Morton College to defeat Moraine Valley and McHenry in the same season for the first time in program history.
Jasiecka put up 10 kills and hit .474, while Swiderski produced 7 kills and hit .294. Stojanovic added 5 kills and Janicek, 4. Carrera had 11 digs and Monahan, 10.

September 24 – Morton College 3, Waubonsee 1 @ Waubonsee
The Panthers guaranteed themselves a share of the Skyway with a 25-22, 25-12, 23-25, 25-13 win. For the third time this season, three players had 10 or more kills.
Leading the way were Jasiecka (16), Swiderski (14) and Stetsko (10). The trio also produced double-doubles with all three putting up double-digit dig totals.Â
Radovic contributed 33 assists. It was the third time she had 30 or more assists in a match this season. Stetsko had 4 of Morton College's 12 aces. Jasiecka added 9 blocks and Coca, 6.

October 1 – Morton College 3, Lake County 0 @ Lake County
The Panthers made sure the Skyway was all theirs, rolling to a 25-21, 25-12, 25-20 victory as Fulton's lone kill of the contest was match point and made Morton College conference champs for the first time in 44 years.
Swiderski (14 kills, .440 hitting percentage) and Jasiecka (13 kills, .387 hitting percentage) paved the way. Morton College also had five players with 10 or more digs in Stetsko (16), Carrera (15), Radovic (13), Jasiecka (13) and Swiderski (11).
Carrera and Radovic both had 2 aces, while Stojanovic added 3 blocks.
The Panthers hit a robust .360, going off for .370 in game one and .438 in game two. Radovic contributed 26 assists.
